 Family:  Pomacentridae (Damselfishes), subfamily: Pomacentrinae
 Max. size:  5.5 cm SL (male/unsexed)
 Environment:  reef-associated; depth range 2 - 35 m, non-migratory
 Distribution:  Western Central Pacific: Micronesia to Indonesia. Reported from Christmas Island in the Eastern Indian Ocean.
 Diagnosis:  Dorsal spines (total): 13-13; Dorsal soft rays (total): 13-14; Anal spines: 2-2; Anal soft rays: 14-15. Description: Antero-dorsal neon blue, postero-ventral yellow. Body depth 2.5-2.7 in SL (Ref. 90102).
 Biology:  Adults mainly inhabit inner reef slopes with mixed rubble, coral and algae. They aggregate close to the bottom (Ref. 37816), usually in small groups (Ref. 48636). Oviparous, distinct pairing during breeding (Ref. 205). Eggs are demersal and adhere to the substrate (Ref. 205). Males guard and aerate the eggs (Ref. 205).
