 Family:  Gobiidae (Gobies), subfamily: Gobiinae
 Max. size:  2.4 cm SL (male/unsexed)
 Environment:  reef-associated; depth range 0 - 1 m, non-migratory
 Distribution:  Northwest Pacific: Japan, Korea, Taiwan and probably the Philippines.
 Diagnosis:  Dorsal spines (total): 7-7; Dorsal soft rays (total): 9-10; Anal spines: 1-1; Anal soft rays: 7-7. This species is distinguished by the following characters: no fraenum; no scales on breast and belly, body scales begin at the midlateral region below the first dorsal fin and fanning out posteriorly to form a wedge shape; head bars not merging (Ref. 9018).
 Biology:  Inhabits tide pools.
