 Max. size:  3.7 cm SL (male/unsexed)
 Environment:  benthopelagic
 Distribution:  Asia: known only from Lake Taal, Philippines.
 Diagnosis:  Dorsal spines (total): 7-7; Dorsal soft rays (total): 10-10; Anal spines: 1-1; Anal soft rays: 11-11. Preserved color gray dorsally, butter yellow ventrally; black spot on top of head, between eye and angle of mouth, and on opercle; fine black dots on head; scales on dorsal half margined with black. Large head broader than trunk; oblique mouth very large. No scales on head, predorsal region, pectoral base, breast and median part of belly. 26 scales in longitudinal series.
