 Family:  Rhinidae (wedgefishes), subfamily: Rhynchobatinae
 Max. size:  270 cm TL (male/unsexed); max.weight: 240 kg
 Environment:  demersal; depth range 0 - 60 m
 Distribution:  Indo-West Pacific: Oman to Japan.
 Diagnosis:   
 Biology:  A benthic species mainly found near the coast in shallow bays and off river mouths. It is poorly known but probably feeds on bottom-dwelling crustaceans and fishes (Ref. 114953). Ovoviviparous (Ref. 50449).
 IUCN Red List Status: Vulnerable (A2bd+3bd+4bd) (Ref. 96402)
 Threat to humans:  harmless
 Country info:  No specimen collected, but to be expected in the country (Ref. 47737).
