 Family:  Ophichthidae (Snake eels), subfamily: Myrophinae
 Max. size:  31.4 cm TL (male/unsexed)
 Environment:  benthopelagic; depth range - 246 m
 Distribution:  Western Pacific: the Philippines.
 Diagnosis:  Vertebrae: 144-144. This species is distinguished by the following set of characters: head 9.9 % TL; tail 51 % TL; body depth 2.2 % TL; mouth gape 22 % HL; dorsal outline of post eye is convex; teeth on jaws and vomer uniserial; the horizontal distance between dorsal-fin origin and a vertical through mid-anus is 67 % HL; predorsal vertebrae 71, preanal 63, total 144 (Ref. 104540).
