 Family:  Synodontidae (Lizardfishes), subfamily: Synodontinae
 Max. size:  10.7 cm SL (male/unsexed)
 Environment:  demersal; depth range 25 - 82 m
 Distribution:  Indo-West Pacific.
 Diagnosis:  Slender with textile-like pattern (Ref. 48635).
 Biology:  Occurs over soft bottoms of the continental shelf and inshore waters (Ref. 7300, 48635, 75154).
 IUCN Red List Status:   (Ref. 96402)
 Threat to humans:  harmless
 Country info:  Type locality (Ref. 48635). Type data: holotype USNM 218935, paratypes AM I.20218-001, AM I.20751-014, AMI.20752-018, USNM 136223, from Visayan Sea, Philippines (Ref. 7300).
