 Family:  Carangidae (Jacks and pompanos), subfamily: Caranginae
 Max. size:  50 cm TL (male/unsexed)
 Environment:  pelagic-neritic
 Distribution:  Western Central Pacific: southern New Guinea, the Arafura Sea (Ref. 9819) and northwestern Australia.
 Diagnosis:   
 Biology:  Adults inhabit coastal waters. Utilized for human consumption.
 IUCN Red List Status:   (Ref. 96402)
 Threat to humans:  harmless
 Country info:  Known from Sibuyan, Romblon (Ref. 58652).
