 Family:  Soleidae (Soles)
 Max. size:  15 cm TL (male/unsexed)
 Environment:  demersal, amphidromous
 Distribution:  Indo-West Pacific: Red Sea and Persian Gulf to Malaysia and Thailand, north to China, south to Australia.
 Diagnosis:   
 Biology:  Inhabits shallow coastal waters, on sand and mud bottoms (Ref. 30573). Feeds mainly on benthic invertebrates. Sold fresh in markets.

 Threat to humans:  harmless
