Eastern Indian Ocean: known only from 2 specimens collected from the base of a drilling rig at Dillon Shoals in the Timor Sea off Western Australia at a depth of 130 m.

Distinguished by the following characteristics: subequal body depth and head length, depth contained 2.4 times in SL; convex interorbital area; small and subequal posterior and anterior nostrils; maxilla reaches vertical at rear edge of orbit; 2 rows of teeth on midlateral part of lower jaw (Ref. 89707).
Found on the continental shelf (Ref. 75154). The only two specimens known were collected from the base of a drilling rig at a depth of 130 m.
