Spine dorsali (totale): 4; Raggi dorsali molli (totale): 8; Spine anali 3; Raggi anali molli: 5. Mouth opening transverse, almost straight. Postdorsal distance usually larger than the predorsal: 100-108% of this. Edge of dorsal fin almost straight. Sides with brownish spots irregularly arranged in the upper half of the body.
