Definition of Term

binder
(english) The adhesive component which holds together the nonadhesive components of a compound mixture. In aquaculture, it is usually used to hold together the components of a diet. (1) natural binder: Adhesive formulation of natural ingredients, casein, corn starch, soya protein, etc. (2) synthetic binder: Adhesive formulation of synthetic ingredients, acrylic or styrene butadiene latex, etc.
