sulcus
(english) 1) A radiating groove in the bony layer of the scale running from the centre to the edge. Also called radii, 2) a groove developed by the primary vascularisation canals leading from the root base to the main foramina in the chondrichthyan anaulacorhizid tooth root type; (plural sulci).
