Description: Dorsal dark greenish or bluish grey, ventral white; dorsal spines last 5 black at base. Body slender cylindrical, depth 3.7-4.2 in SL. Preopercle edge smooth or sometimes denticulate in juveniles. Distinct horizontal groove in front of eye. Scale rows on back parallel with lateral line. Fins dorsal and anal without scales; pectoral shorter than pelvic. (Ref. 55, 90102) |
