Diagnosis |
Belongs to the Oreoglanis siamensis species group as it possesses a distinct median notch on the posterior margin of the lower lip. Can be distinguished from other members of the genus in having a combination of the following characters: short nasal barbel reaching to midway between its base and anterior orbital margin, maxillary barbel with rounded tip, length of adipose-fin base 30.7-38.1 % SL, caudal peduncle length 19.2-24.9 % SL, eye diameter 8.9-15.3 % HL, and a lunate caudal fin having upper and lower first principal rays of approximately equal length (Ref. 83406). Description: Dorsal fin rays i,5 or i,6; anal fin rays i,3, i,4 or ii,4; pectoral fin rays i,18, i,19 or i,20; pelvic fin rays i,5. Paired fins enlarged, forming an elongate ovoid adhesive disc with body (Ref. 83406). |
