Description: Characterized by male having orange upper head and adjacent anterodorsal body grading to lavender pink posteriorly, presence of magenta-edged yellow band on snout to pectoral fin base, magenta-edged yellow saddle tapering to narrow bar from base of spinous dorsal-fin to middle of side behind pectoral fin; female mainly orange in color with yellow band from snout to base of pectoral fin; fleshy protuberance at front of upper lip absent in male; prolonged third dorsal spine of male; forked or lunate caudal fin with filamentous tips in male (Ref. 90102). |
