The basal cartilaginous plate of the pectoral girdle includes 4, rounded (without notches), uniformly arranged radials; the lowermost of these is not separated from the third. Two pairs of small pleural ribs. Hypural plate with longitudinal fissure. Snout with a thick, deep fold above the upper lip. Gill opening above pectoral fin base. Supraorbital pores 2. Anterior mandibular pores close to each other. Head 32.1% SL; anteanal distance 40.5% SL (Ref. 41400).
