Short description

Dorsal spines (total): 7; Dorsal soft rays (total): 9-10; Anal spines: 2; Anal soft rays: 9; Vertebrae: 24. Interspaces between dark bars on body faintly reddish; soft rays of median fins reddish. Anterior nostril with very short darkly pigmented posterior flap. Caudal shape rhomboidal. Flat interorbital space. 23-25 scales in longitudinal series.
