soft rays: 9. Males easily recognized by the yellow pectoral fins and orange cheeks. Females plain grey with pale lines along abdominal area (Ref. 48636). The initial phase closely resembles that of S. globiceps and S. psittacus. Differences lie in the number of scale row and scales in the ventral side.
