Dorsal soft rays (total): 129; Anal soft rays: 93. Distinguished by having a granule-like teeth on jaws; dorsal rays 129; anal rays 93; pectoral rays 30; lateral basibranchial tooth-plates 2 in the insertion of the third pair of gill arches; snout of moderate length (about 4 times HL); large eye (15.9% HL); body dark colored (Ref. 58053).
