Vertebrae: 168 - 172. Diagnosis: The head and body of this species is darker than belly, dark spot in the preopercular area, the margins of unpaired fins dark. Dorsal fin originates slightly in front of the base of pectoral fin, above the 7th-9th pore of lateral line. Vertebrae 168-172; trunk vertebrae 89-92. Pores of lateral line to anus 62-64. Supraorbital canal 5, suborbital canal 5, preoperculomandibular canal 12, occipital commissure 3 (Ref. 54804).
